It's been six months, I have been using Fb groups for building my community. The reason behind choosing it was the availability of all the existing members on one platform. Due to that, it became easy to ask them and join the community. It's a decent tool to one extent as it allows moderation but not a strong one. Then, email & automation is not that easy in here. Though content distribution works well and it works as a glue between the members. I use more IRL meetups to keep the community together. Our online presence is mostly to keep the communication alive and Fb groups, being a free tool looks like a feasible option to me.
