PROS: Neudesic Pulse has many features that make it an attractive, robust community. Administrators can customize profile fields, advanced searches, groups, and tags. Pulse is also embeds in our company’s intranet, making it easy for members to have a seamless experience. Its mobile solution also allows community members to stay in touch on-the-go.

CONS: As our active member-base continues to grow, we have run into more issues with Pulse. The speed of the community overall has grown quite slow (something our members tell us is the biggest pain-point). We have found customer service & response time seems to be less-than-ideal. Additionally, upgrades, new features, etc. all come at a rather high price tag making it harder to continue with then as our long-term vendor. We also cannot customize the layout, widgets, etc. on pages.

I would perhaps recommend Pulse as a solution for a smaller community, but not for a larger company.
