The communities feature by xCatalyst includes multiple "boards," which can be configured to only allow certain users access. Users can subscribe to boards and receive either instant, daily, or weekly digests sent to their email. They can also reply to the postings from their emails which is a nice feature (see issues below).

However, we frequently experience text issues that staff must manually adjust from the admin side as users do not have the ability to edit posts themselves. We also don't receive any statistics on usage or any reports other than the digests we subscribe ourselves to. We have no idea how many people are visiting or even using the forum without manually counting. 

 

This was a custom built system for a client that ESX then began selling to other users. Our system frequently glitches with random characters in the middle of text both from the front end and admin side even if text is typed directly into it.
